PASIFIKA FIRST FRIDAYS SOUNDS OF SUMMER POETRY SLAM
In August 2018, a collective of four pan-Pacific poets continued to build She Who Dies To Live, a theatrical spoken word production that debuted at ʻAe Kai: A Culture Lab on Convergence. The retreat took place in Salt Lake City – home to the largest Pacific population in the contiguous United States, and included public performances at Pasifika First Fridays and the Utah Museum of Fine Arts.

Pasifika First Friday’s Event #2: A community event where four sets were built for budding photographers and videographers in the Pasifika community could explore their art and build their portfolios. Here are some clips from my favorite set, Roller Disco! I spent 14 hours hand-weaving the jacket and an hour building this particular set. All four sets took two weeks to build. Tenelle showcased a new music video shot by Lahvjal Fuimaono + guest artist Eliorah Malifa from Australia Showcased her work.
